We got a new harddrive and Dan's been reinstalling everything, so I have recent pictures, at least. Still waiting to hear whether the old harddrive is completely fried or not.
Peter's Diaper Free Day (except for one car ride): I picked up two 3-packs of toddler briefs at Target--one featuring Cars and one with Thomas. Watching Peter twist in circles trying to see Percy on his butt was a riot. Puh-puh! And Thos-Thos! And En-y! We had him sit on the potty about every 45 minutes and by the end of the day, had two pair of poopy underwear and one wet spot on the rug--I'll take that over 8 diapers. The wet spot came 30 seconds after I asked if he wanted to sit on the potty. I bought a pack of birdseye prefolds that I might sew into the crotch of the briefs to turn them into trainers if I overcome my laziness. So far, I've managed to trade some dipes for dyed prefolds and Hannas for Leo, but no actual Paypal to buy fun trainers.
House News: I chatted with our mortgage guy and got some info, but he hasn't crunched the numbers to determine whether we could be pre-approved for the amount we'd need. It's sounding unlikely that we'd be able to get a non-contigent approval, which is a bummer because it would be really nice to move out before staging this house. We could probably move in with Dan's parents (whose house has a basement apartment) for awhile, but then there'd be two moves to deal with. Once I get real information from him and talk to the buying agent, I'll have a better feel for how this might work. Just how desperate are these sellers? What are the chances that our house would sell in a timely manner? Dan's feeling like we should move now even if we can't get this house now that we're thinking about it. Fixing it now super-fast and moving as the school year begins sounds slightly easier than coordinating the selling while Dan's in school in the spring. Either way, I think we finally have the motivation to paint the trim, finish the bathroom, and fix the fence.
Leo's 4 month check up was today -- 28", 17 lbs 0 oz, 17" head. He's way off the height chart and at the 75th percentile for weight. The doc says his teeth aren't close (darn it!) and she expects he'll be mobile early given that he didn't stop moving for the entire exam and managed to wrap himself into the paper covering.
