Asleep without Me
From the silence upstairs, it appears that Leo has fallen asleep with Dan. He nursed, he squirmed, he cried, he wouldn't stay latched on, so Dan took over. We've tried it a few times before but it's always led to half an hour of screaming before I returned and nursed him to sleep. I believe this is the first time in his nearly 10 months alive that he's fallen asleep (not in the car) without nursing. Amazing.
And, since I got a new camera for Christmas and have been playing with it, here's a picture account of our weekend:
Friday morning: Leo hunts for food under the table after breakfast
Friday afternoon: I left Peter at the computer by himself for a minute and he decided he could make the mouse work, too. Within 3 minutes he'd mastered point-and-click. I suspect drag-and-drop will be easy within the week. We've created a monster--he navigates between his Thomas games no problem and begs us to play Thomas all day long. Thank goodness for the digital timer.
Saturday morning: Watching the zoo go by on the monorail.
Saturday evening: Suddenly Peter is playing fabulously with his 5 and 7 year old cousins. Maybe I should give up on playgroups with toddlers and find older kids for him to play with.
Su
nday morning: Leo plays ball with the 13 year old cousin, who is happy to entertain him.
Sunday morning: With Leo playing ball with one cousin and Peter chasing the other two around an indoor playground, I make decent progress on a new knitting project (toddler longies in Mosaic Moon Red Rainbow, Curly Purly waistband).
Sunday evening: A fun way to end the day--Peter (a la the mini-professor in his sweater vest) does a Thomas puzzle despite Leo's attempts to thwart him.
Happy Epiphany to all and what a great way to end the Christmas season!
