A few tidbits about Tim at 14 months before any more time passes:
He has transitioned from crawling to nearly always walking over the past month.
He's at the stage where if we leave the bathroom door open, he WILL go in and splash in the toilet.
At the doctor last week, he weighed 20 lbs, 1 oz--my little peanut.
He's not doing a whole lot of talking or signing. I get "Mama" and "ha (hi)" and there's an occasionally "Dada", "ba" (bye), "all-done" or "cat". He signs for "all done" and "plane" without prompting and sometimes "nurse", "sleep", and "more" with prompting.
He can climb onto our lower couch and onto some chairs and is pretty good at moving things around to pull himself onto higher things. He loves standing on a box or stool to look out our front picture window.
He's finally napping predictably, with a 1.5-2 hour afternoon nap. He used to fall asleep around dinner for a short nap and would sleep briefly if we were in the car in the morning, but now that the big boys are at school during the day and we can work around Tim's timing instead of theirs, he's finally napping long enough for me to get stuff done or rest.
His blue eyes are turning more hazel--as are Peter's . We had two blue-eyed boys a year ago and now I'm not sure how they'll end up. Dan and I both have green/hazel so I'd guess they'll be similar to ours. Leo's remain very brown.
His hair is blonder than either of his brothers'. Not quite white-blonde, but close. It's almost long enough in the back to get trimmed, but not quite. Dan's mom says it looks like his did as a toddler.
He loves putting things into other things. He tests everything to see if it will go in. Green beans don't fit into sippy cups but pens go into rolls of plastic wrap.
He won't let us read to him. Granted we haven't tried as much as we should have, but if we hold a book in front of him, he just tries to slam it shut.
He will eat almost anything and is by far the least picky of the three kids (although I think Peter and Leo weren't picky as babies either). He nurses at naptime, often when he wakes from his nap, sometimes in the evening at some point, to fall asleep around 9 (give or take an hour), and then is usually okay until 2 or 3am, at which point I'm in bed and I don't care or notice if he nurses until we wake up, usually between 8 and 9am. I think he's less of a comfort nurser than his brothers were. If need be, Dan can get him to sleep either at naptime or bedtime by lying down with him without my nursing him.
