Agh, Peter was whiny today! I want to go outside/inside/upstairs! I need water/crackers/toys! Why can't I throw my blocks around the room? He might not have been whining in full sentences like that, but he was darn clear. He also pooped four times so he might have gotten Dan's stomach bug from the weekend, but that doesn't make it easier on me. It was also 80 degrees and super-humid, which no one appreciated. We're going to be stuck in the house for the next two days as the tub-resurfacer and then my parents' cleaning lady come so I need him to wake up cheery in the morning.
Dan managed to scrape the caulk off the tub in under half an hour, which was a pleasant surprise. Once the tub is all pretty by this time tomorrow, I'm hoping it will inspire us (meaning Dan) to do the last layer of mud on the sink wall. Then we just need to sand, paint, and install the sink. So very close.
I finished a hybrid rib soaker for the baby this morning (although I'm going to redo one gusset) --under 40 hours from when I started. Whee, why didn't I start making newborn sized stuff before? Someday I'll post pics of my recent knitting...
BTW, night five in the Big Boy Bed involved 5 minutes of nursing, 15 minutes of Peter running around upstairs, 20 minutes of calm nursing, 20 minutes of my trying to escape repeatedly but him knowing I was getting up, and then Dan falling asleep in there next to him. So, that's sort of a one hour process--I'm not sure when Dan could have safely gotten up if he hadn't been too exhausted to do so.
